The ARC Dripper, the first product from new brand ARC Brewer, is in testers’ hands. Brewer @chin__0531 posted a black test sample on Threads on October 23, 2026, and says the final version will have a matte finish.
ARC Brewer was started by Terry, who says he and his team competed in and judged the Taiwan Brewers Cup last year. The idea, he writes, was to work backward from mouthfeel and structure in the cup to the shape of the dripper. (Not to be confused with the Felicita Arc, a coffee scale.)
What we know about the ARC Dripper
-
A base that curves down 3°. The bottom dips gently toward the center instead of sitting flat. ARC Brewer says the shape came from a mistake: a test print in the wrong material came out with a curved bottom instead of a flat one. The curve changed how water left the coffee bed, so the team kept it and refined it.

-
Drain holes in concentric rings. Brew drains through whichever hole is nearest, so liquid doesn’t pool in one spot under the bed, the maker says.

-
A 65° wide opening, meant to let you move between immersion and percolation depending on the coffee.
-
Wave filters. The maker’s photos show wave papers, and its first published recipe uses a Sibarist Fast Wave: 14 g of coffee to 210 ml of 93 °C water.
What we don’t know
Price, release date, materials, size and where it will sell. ARC Brewer hasn’t said yet. For another new take on dripper drainage, see Taster’s Coffee’s GX2 V2.
