CoffeeGear News is a news site. You can read everything without an account, and the site doesn't set cookies or run analytics or advertising trackers.

What happens when you visit

• Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details (the page, your browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• No cookies. The site itself doesn't set any.
• Search. The search page runs entirely in your browser. What you type isn't sent to us or anyone else.

Third-party content

• YouTube videos. Videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and don't load until you click play. Before that, only the preview image loads, from Google's image servers, which receive your IP address. Once you play a video, Google's privacy policy applies.
• Share buttons. These are plain links. Nothing loads from X, Bluesky, Threads or Reddit unless you click one, and then that service's own policy applies.
• Links to stores and sources. Other sites you visit from our links have their own policies.

Tips and email

If you email us at tips@coffeegearnews.com, we receive your email address and whatever you send. We use it only to follow up on your tip or message. We never name sources or share tipsters' details.

Changes

We don't run ads or analytics today. Before adding either, or a newsletter, we'll update this page to say what's collected and how to opt out, including consent options where the law requires them.
