Timemore’s Vietnamese channel posted two short launch videos for the Chestnut C6 on October 15, a new hand grinder in the same line as the C5. Timemore hasn’t listed it on its own stores yet. The video’s end card sums it up as an external-adjustment upgrade with a new burr (“外调升级 革「芯」而至”); the details below come from an early review and from what the videos show.
What’s new
A Bilibili reviewer who posted a first look on October 1 lists four upgrades over the C5:
-
Bigger burr. A 44mm all-purpose burr, described as “seven-star.” The launch video shows a seven-point star on the inner burr.

-
Dial on top. Grind adjustment moves to the top of the grinder. The video shows a numbered ring running from 0 to 9.0, with ten marks between numbers and a red index dot just below the crank.

-
Finer steps. 90 clicks of 0.015 mm each, according to the review. That matches the dial’s markings: nine numbered steps with ten marks each.
-
Larger hopper. It holds about 35 g of beans.
The reviewer calls the C6 entry-level and a budget take on Timemore’s S5. The videos show it in black, dark gray and a light champagne finish, each with a wooden crank knob.

What we don’t know yet
Price, release dates outside Vietnam, materials, weight, and how the burr compares with the ones in Timemore’s other grinders. Timemore hasn’t published a spec sheet.
Our take
Conical heptagonal burrs have a long track record for solid performance, both in 38mm and 48mm sizes, this one seems promising!
